As an Irvine Senior Services volunteer, you can help provide essential programs and services to Irvine’s older adult community.

Why volunteer? In addition to giving you a sense of pride, meeting new people, and connecting to your community, volunteers who serve at least 20 hours in a calendar year are invited to the annual Volunteer Recognition event.

Attend an Orientation to Learn More

Attend a Volunteer Orientation to learn about available opportunities with Irvine Senior Services. Orientations are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 2 to 2:30 p.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. Registration is recommended at yourirvine.org. If you want to get started quicker, contact volunteer@cityofirvine.org. 

Becoming a Volunteer

  • Introduction: Friendly volunteer staff will share available positions to see what might interest you. We ask you take time to think about your passions and skills to find the right fit.
  • Onboarding Process: Once a position is selected, we will walk you through the application forms and outline all the requirements that must be met before starting your new role.
